Cookie Policy

The website (https://www.francescogregori.it) uses cookies to make consultation by users easier and more efficient.

With this document Francesco Gregori intends to provide some information on the use of cookies by the Site also pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter the "Regulation").

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are sent from the Portal to users' devices (computers, tablets and smartphones) and stored (usually in the browser), to be retransmitted to the Portal at the next visit by the same users if they use the same device. Cookies cannot retrieve any other data from users' hard drives, acquire email addresses from the latter or transmit computer viruses.

Some cookies are conveyed and controlled directly by the Portal (so-called first-party cookies). In this document it will be explained for what purposes Francesco Gregori installs the aforementioned cookies and what are the relative rights of the users.

During the navigation on the Portal, cookies controlled by third parties are also conveyed (so-called third-party cookies): to obtain information about these cookies, we invite users to read the information of third parties, which can be reached by selecting the links contained in this document.

Cookies can have a duration limited to a single browsing session on the browser (so-called session cookies), and in this case they are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or they may have a predetermined expiry date and, in this case, they will remain stored and active in the user's hard disk until that expiration date, continuing to collect information during different browsing sessions on the browser, or until the the user does not delete them manually (persistent cookies).

Cookies are used for various functions. Some are necessary to allow you to browse the Portal and take advantage of its functions (so-called technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, in aggregate or not, on the number of users who access the Portal and on how the Portal is used (so-called monitoring or analytical cookies). Finally, others are used to track users' profiles and display advertisements on the Portal that may be of interest to them, as they are consistent with their tastes and consumption habits (so-called profiling cookies).

To learn more about these different categories and freely choose whether to consent to their use or prevent it, we invite the user to continue reading this document.

What types of cookies are used?

The Site uses the following cookies:

  1. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used by the Site for the sole purpose of making it possible to navigate and allow the user to use its features.

Some technical cookies are essential to offer an optimal browsing experience or to allow the user to authenticate on the Site, for example to receive newsletters, or to enter a reserved area (so-called navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are normally session cookies and, therefore, once the browser is closed, they are automatically deactivated.

Other technical cookies are useful to allow the user to memorize some of his preferences (for example, the language or country of origin) without having to reset them during subsequent visits (so-called functionality cookies). For this reason, functionality cookies are often persistent cookies, as they remain stored on the user's computer even after the browser is closed, until their expiry date or until the user decides to delete them.

A further category of technical cookies allows you to keep track of the consent given by the user to the installation of profiling cookies (first-party or third-party) or third-party analytical cookies used by the Site

According to the current privacy legislation, for the installation of these cookies it is not necessary to collect the user's consent. However, the latter may at any time prevent those already present in their browser from being installed or deactivated, by changing the settings of the latter according to the instructions indicated in the following paragraph "How can the user change the cookie settings of their browser ? ". However, it should be noted that, by blocking the installation of technical cookies, or subsequently deleting them, the possibility of accessing the Site, of using it in whole or in part, of enabling or disabling certain functions or of receiving certain services could be wholly or partially compromised.

The following technical cookies are currently used on the Site:

  • Cookie name: SESSxxx (variable name at each login) Category: first party technical cookie Function: authentication for site content management
  • Cookie name: cookieconsent_dismissed Category: first party technical cookie Function: management of the privacy information banner
  1. Analytical cookies

This type of cookie allows you to collect information on the number and navigation methods of users on the Portal [in aggregate form (ie without the possibility of tracing the identification of the individual user) or not]. This tool allows Francesco Gregori to understand how visitors interact with the contents of the Site (pages visited, browsing time, geographical origin, etc.), providing useful statistics that allow it to be optimized and to improve navigation on the Site. The information obtained with these cookies is used exclusively for the aforementioned statistical purposes.

Third-party analytical cookies for which it is necessary to collect the user's consent

Francesco Gregori uses third-party analytical cookies for which it is necessary to collect the consent of the users, because the IP addresses of the latter are not masked (or in any case a significant portion is not masked) and third parties could therefore trace the identity of the users. Third parties may also use the information collected for purposes other than those of statistical analysis, by crossing it with other data in their possession.

For this reason, when the user accesses the Site for the first time, a summary information (banner) is displayed, informing them that (i) the Site uses third-party analytical cookies and that (ii) by closing the banner, [scrolling the page] or clicking any element of the page outside the banner and then, by continuing to browse, you are consenting to the use of cookies made by the Portal. Should the user express consent to the installation of cookies in this way, Francesco Gregori will keep track of this consent through a specific technical cookie. In this way, during subsequent visits to the Site (carried out with the same device), the banner will no longer be repeated. However, this technical cookie may also be deleted from the browser in the manner described in the following paragraph "How can the user change the cookie settings of his browser?". In this case, the trace of the consent expressed by the user would be lost and, therefore, during the next visit to the Portal, the banner will be displayed again.

The user is free to block the installation of third-party analytical cookies at any time or to delete those already installed, without the possibility of browsing the Portal and using its contents in any way compromised: (i) according to what is indicated in the paragraph "How can the user change the cookie settings of his browser?" or (ii) by viewing the information on third-party cookies by selecting the links shown in the table below.

The following third-party analytical cookies are currently used on the Site:

  • Cookie name: Google Analytics
  • Category: third-party analytical cookies
  • Link to the information / Instructions on the opt-out:link|partners

How can the user change the cookie settings of his browser?

If the user wants to disable the installed cookies, he will have to intervene on the settings of his browser. However, it should be noted that in this case, malfunctions of the Site or some of its features may occur. The procedure to follow varies according to the type of browser used.
